Despina Karagianni – Clinical Director of the Day Centre for the Care of the Mental Health of Women (Postpartum Disorder)
Despina Karagianni is a Clinical Psychologist, Psychoanalyst, member of the Hellenic Society of the New Lacanian School of Psychoanalysis (NLS), the World Association of Psychoanalysis (WAP) and the Hellenic Psychological Society. She received her B.S. in Psychology as well as a three-year M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Athens. She holds a Ph.D from the same University and her research focuses on perinatal mental disorders.
She has worked at the Psychiatric Clinic of the General Hospital of Samos and at the Centre for the Training and Social Support of the Disabled. Since 2008, she works at the Day Centre for the Care of the Mental Health of Women Postpartum Disorder. Since June 2013 she has been appointed Clinical Director of the Day Centre, responsible for the coordination and supervision of the Interdisciplinary Team.
